The Korea Music Copyright Association says Twitter still does not pay music copyright fees.
The Association has said that other sites that use music within the platform, such as Facebook or Instagram, pay copyright fees in order to have this ability - however, Twitter is infringing this right by not paying fees.
Twitter allows users to have music in their video playback and real-time streaming, and currently only enforces copyright after posts have been made and reported for this issue.
KOMCA have stated that they will continue to take action against copyright infringement on Twitter as there is currently no compensation to the music creators. The Association called the response to this issue on Twitter "too passive".
